WHAT'S NEW AT HOCKEY BENOIT BARBEAU? Here are the highlights from our recent newsletter for the friends of Hockey Benoit Barbeau. You can also consult the archives of our events. Happy reading! EXPO-HOCKEY EVENT Join us at Montreal's Place Bonaventure! Benoit Barbeau will be participating as both an exhibitor and conference speaker at the EXPO-HOCKEY event (www.facebook.com/expohockey or www.expohockey.com), which will take place on February 17-19, 2012 at Place Bonaventure in Montreal. Come visit us at kiosk #409, where all coaching manuals will be available for purchase and consultation. You can also register your child for one of the three hockey camps to be held during spring break and summer this year. See you there! SPRING BREAK HOCKEY CAMP New spring break training activity! Hockey Benoit Barbeau is pleased to offer a new School Break Hockey Camp on March 5-9, 2012 in partnership with Montreal's Édouard-Montpetit secondary school and its Sport-Études hockey program. Held conjointly at Montreal's St-Donat Arena and the gymnasiums of Édouard-Montpetit secondary school, a full range of quality instruction will be provided in a day-camp format. With 130 minutes of ice time per day (including a 60-minute game) in addition to indoor activities, participants will be kept on their toes all week long for an affordable price.
THE FRIENDS OF VILLE-ÉMARD MAKING A DIFFERENCE Free spots at the Pre-Season Camp awarded to seven young players! Once again this year, "The Friends of Ville-Émard" gave some promising young hockey players the opportunity to participate free of charge in the Pre-Season Camp. Below, we see T. Champagne, W. Kelly and M. Demers along with Benoit Barbeau.
In this picture, we see Benoit Barbeau alongside V. Héneault, X. D-Tremblay, J. Cartier and M. Durocher, all of whom also earned the chance to participate free of charge in the Pre-Season Camp thanks to "The Friends of Ville-Émard". Congratulations everyone!
ATTENTION ALL LIBRARIANS! Enhance your library's collection with complete, progressive ice hockey coaching manuals The Yearly Teaching Content, the Ice Hockey Learning Steps Guide, and the Ice Hockey Teaching Program for Novice and Pre-Novice are now available for purchase by libraries. Many libraries across Canada and around the world already have copies of these manuals on their shelves. They are a great help to coaches of all levels looking for inspiration and documentation related to ice hockey instruction. Librarians wishing to place an order are invited to contact us. HBB VIDEO CLIP Because a picture is worth a thousand words... We produced a short video clip that shows actual footage of what we do at the Summer Hockey School and Pre-Season Camp so players and parents can know us better. Our video underscores the friendly atmosphere that characterizes all our activities. The Benoit Barbeau Summer Hockey School, as well as the Pre-Season Camp are a sure-fire way to have fun while learning the basics of hockey and sportsmanship. The glowing faces of smiling kids and the positive feedback of satisfied parents are our best publicity. See you there!

Technology marches on! The paper photo albums from the Benoit Barbeau Summer Hockey School and Pre-Season Camp are a thing of the past. In addition to a digital picture frame on site, the participants from summer 2010 can view the photos taken during these two events on our Facebook page! Exclusively for players and their parents, you can gain access by making a Friend request and identifying yourself. There is only one official Hockey Benoit Barbeau Facebook page. If you are not already one of our Friends, do it now and take a look back at some of the fun-filled moments we shared in 2010! For everyone else, selected photos are available at Photo Home. GOOD-BYE SUPPER The end to a great season... T. Fernandez of Group B was the lucky winner of a pair of Reebok 6K skates at the good-bye supper held at the La Cage-aux-Sports restaurant on René-Lévesque Boulevard. Sincere thanks go out to Reebok and La Cage!
